I've met her. She's very smart, very driven, and has made substantial inroads with a number of influential Washington big wigs.

There is just such an organization. The Secular Coalition for America:

http://www.secular.org/

Thanks for the comment, and for reminding me that maybe it would be a good idea to let people know about this organization.Hambydammithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04307322997038298862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7769709787862555273.post-76276757104347881082008-11-07T07:03:00.000-08:002008-11-07T07:03:00.000-08:00You've identified you goals. Now how about a plan ...You've identified you goals. Now how about a plan of attack? Secular Americans have only recently hired a fulltime lobbiest, right? It would be great if all the variousl secular communities could back that lobby. I think we need (dare I say it?) an umbrella organization for secular interests. Yes, yes, herding cats. We don't need that much compliance or support, just a single source of info that is sure to reach all of the various factions. Let the individual cats decide to which calls to action they wish to respond. If an organization like this already exists, the fact that I don't know about it is evidence that it isn't doing sufficient outreach.Jachttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01622919505576895393noreply@blogger.com
